Pink Oyster mushrooms are the fastest fruiting variety in the ShroomBag lineup, and the most visually dramatic. Within 7 to 10 days of cutting the bag, vivid hot-pink clusters push through, fanning out into layered, petal-like caps that command the counter.
Pleurotus djamor is a tropical species. It prefers warmth, rewards high humidity, and moves fast. Sauteéd, the caps crisp at the edges and develop a deep savory flavor with a slight sweetness, more nuanced than the "bacon" shorthand you've read everywhere else. The stems hold texture even when cooked through.
Every ShroomBag is packed with locally sourced Appalachian hardwood sawdust, inoculated and fully colonized at our West Virginia farm.
